CalmRound installs on a computer
A computer does the listening and answering. Your phone shows the answers: scan the code and read them in the browser, or install the Android app when the meeting runs on the phone. The phone never interviews on its own.

A computer is still required. A phone cannot hear the call while the meeting app is open, so the computer listens and writes the answers and the phone only shows them. Android 8.0 or newer.

Trouble installing?
Windows says the app is from an unknown publisher
First check the address bar shows calmround.com/download/. Then choose "More info" and "Run anyway". The installer is signed; this warning can still appear for newer apps. If anything looks off, email us before you continue.
macOS blocks the app the first time you open it
Make sure the file came from this page, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, find the message about CalmRound and choose "Open Anyway".
Allow microphone and screen recording (Mac)
macOS asks for both the first time. The microphone hears you, and screen recording lets CalmRound hear the call audio and read on-screen questions.
Windows 7, 8.1 or 32-bit Windows
CalmRound needs 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. If the installer says it isn't a valid Win32 application, your system is older or 32-bit; use a Mac or a newer Windows PC instead.
When do I need overlay protection?
For a normal video interview, keep the default settings. Hiding from screen share is on by default, and on Windows the overlay keeps your meeting window focused automatically. You don't need to turn anything on. Overlay guide →

Join a test meeting in the app you'll use, share your screen, and check what the other side sees. Use the exact setup you'll use on the day.
Want to read answers on your phone?
No install is needed for the browser view: start CalmRound on your computer, open View answers on phone and scan the code with your phone's camera; answers appear live in the browser. Is there an Android app?
Yes. The CalmRound Android app is for one case: the interview meeting runs on your phone. The phone cannot hear the call audio while the meeting app is open, so your computer does the listening and answering and the app keeps the answers floating over the meeting. Is there an iPhone app?
No. But your iPhone can still show the answers: scan the code from your computer and read them live in the browser, nothing to install. There's no app because iPhone doesn't let apps float a window over other apps or hear a call on the same phone, so listening and answering happen on the computer. How phone view works →
